Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Sirr answered.
Account and Identity
How do decentralized accounts work?
Your BSC wallet address is your account. No registration required - just connect your wallet or create a new one. You completely own your identity, protected by your private key.
Detailed explanation:
- Your wallet address (e.g.,
0x742d...) is your unique identifier - No need to provide email, phone number, or other personal information
- You control the private key = You control the account
- If you lose your private key, no one (including us) can help you recover your account
Can I use my existing wallet?
Yes! You can:
- Import an existing BNBChain wallet
- Connect with MetaMask or other Web3 wallets
- Or let Sirr create a new wallet for you
What if I lose my phone?
If you saved your recovery phrase (seed phrase), you can:
- Install Sirr on a new device
- Select "Import Wallet"
- Enter your 12/24 word recovery phrase
- Recover your account and all messages
Important: Always save your recovery phrase safely!

Yes! Your wallet is very safe because:
- Private keys never leave your device

Yes!
- Messages: OpenPGP end-to-end encryption

Can Sirr read my messages?
No. Due to end-to-end encryption:
- Only you and the recipient can decrypt messages

- Even if we wanted to, we can't
Where is my data stored?
- Messages: Encrypted and stored on mail servers
- Private Keys: Only on your device
- Contacts: Stored locally on your device
- Transactions: Recorded on BSC blockchain (publicly visible)
What about metadata?
We minimize metadata collection:
- Servers only see encrypted messages

- You can use VPN or Tor for additional protection
